Apple has expressed its concern for the “LGBTQ+” community and the global equality movement with this announcement. Apple calls its two new brands “Pride Edition Sport Loop” and “Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop”. Both have their distinct colours symbolizing unique meanings. At the iconic “Harvey Milk Plaza”, Jin Lee Baobei, the experimental street dancer from Oakland, took part in the iPhone Pride Campaign wearing a magnificent Apple’s “Pride Edition Sport Loop”. Pride is an essence that confirms, has claimed Jin Baobei. Jin also thinks dance helps her to honour her pain and grief. She also added dance is a way to familiarize herself with spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional liberation.

This brand has rainbow colours and colours drawn from many pride flags along with shades of white, pink, and light blue. The colour gradient of “Sport Loop” represents “Black and Latin” communities, “Transgender communities”, and “Individuals with gender-nonconformity”. This colour gradient also speaks for those individuals who died of AIDS/HIV or lived with AIDS/HIV. The design and thought of this magnificent creation are the brainchildren of the allies and associates of the “LGBTQ+” community at Apple.

Apple has used a new style and technique to print the word “pride” on the band in cursive script by removing the “textile-loops”. The band itself is a style statement, having a 3D “look & feel”. Apple has claimed users find it adjustable and comfortable.

The design of the “watch face” is also unique. The watch face is as colourful and vibrant as the band itself, reflecting all the colours of the rainbow. If the “Digital-Crown” on the watch is moved or rotated, the user finds the colourful threads of the watch’s face move. Apple also offers a new “App-Chip” technology within the “Band-Package”. Apple has claimed threads immediately respond to the movement of the wrist. Even users can tap on each thread to create a vibration across the threads.

Apple has featured its brand new “Nike Sport Loop (Pride Edition)” with a “rainbow” coloured “Nike” bounce-face. It seems Apple borrows all seven colours from the “rainbow” to colour its “Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop”, colourful and gorgeous indeed. Both the “Nike’s “Be-True” collection and “Sport Loop (Pride Edition)” represent that personnel who inspires others to enjoy being true to “themselves”. Relevantly, we all know the “Be True” is the part of Nike’s agenda and commitment to the “LGBTQ+” society. With its “Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop”, Apple has openly supported Nike’s Slogan for the “LGBTQ+” community.
